Untitled

An orange glow envelopes me

Its color seething, iridescent

Cradling me into

A dream fleeting under the horizon

I don't want it to end

I face the sun and let it wash over me.

And hope.

Hope that my expiration will be as beautiful.

···

Darkness is here. The moon is absent

I can hear them

Black masses silhouetted, guttural voices

They never leave me.

···

Miles and miles away

I don't want to be alone

I've been praying to God

But he doesn’t answer

They answer

Slumber helps me escape them.

···

Trash is littered around my apartment

I'll do the dishes tomorrow.

I quit my job

I dont have the will anymore

The blinds are drawn

An orange glow filters through

The razor blade is close, my expiration is near.
